A few changes and new features
Hello FanBoxers,
I have a number of new items to report relating to IPL, your FanBox Bank and selling & buying in the marketplace.
1. Your FanBox Bank is now called "My Balance":
This is to reduce confusion with your own (non-FanBox) bank account.
2. Processing fee payment priority
Notice the new "Settings" button in your IPL page:
Click the "Settings" button to reveal two controls:
A. IPL on/off switch (This functionality existed before. It simply turns IPL on/off)
B. Processing fee payment priority switch (This is new)
B. Processing fee payment priority switch (This is new)
The new priority switch allows you to control whether your processing fee will be paid from fully matured funds, or from your payment mechanism.
It allows people who are preparing to cash out, to ensure that their fully matured funds are not utilized by their processing fees, so they can maximize the amount of their cash out.
New Users:
Given the maturity and cash out questions that you naturally have, I suggest that you use the "recommended" choice to reduce the odds that you're confused at the time of cash out.
Your Success Coach can answer your questions -- and even view and explain your balance details if you allow them to.
3. Paying your IPL processing fees using fully matured funds
Until now, FanBoxers could use all of their fully matured earnings to pay their processing fees.
(To use an analogy, that's a bit silly because it's like using your credit card to pay its own monthly minimum payment or interest payment).
This was causing an uneven pattern of usage by a small % of FanBoxers - at the expense of the community pool - which is where all earnings are derived from.
The good news is that you'll still be able to use your fully matured funds to pay your IPL processing fees - although you'll now be limited to only those amounts that exceed the amount that you owe (your IPL utilized amount).
For example, let's say you have $1,100 in fully matured funds, and your IPL utilized amount is $1,000.
Your processing fee will be approximately $15 (about 1.5% of $1,000).
You have $100 available to pay that $15 processing fee ($1,100 minus $1,000 = $100).
Again, you can still use your fully matured earnings to pay your IPL processing fees, so long as they exceed your IPL utilized amount.
(And you can choose whether to pay your processing fee with your fully matured funds or your payment mechanism, using the new switch announced above).
If, however, your fully matured earnings are less than your IPL utilized amount, then you'll want to pay your processing fee with your payment mechanism...
... or top-up your balance with your credit card, PayPal, Western Union, MoneyGram or Payza.
Also, you can continue to use ALL fully matured funds to pay down your IPL Utilized...
... even if your fully matured funds do not exceed your IPL Utilized.
4. Simplified "My Balance" page
In our continued efforts to simplify everything, the old balance page has been replaced.
To see the new My Balance page, click your balance...
... which pops open the new, simplifed My Balance page:
Roll over any of the "Details" buttons for more information -- or to get a detailed breakdown of how the amount was arrived at.
And notice the new "Frequently Asked Questions" section at the bottom of the page.
This section will be updated periodically as Success Coaches discover better ways to explain and simplify things for the newest members.
5. Seller and Buyer disputes
Did you buy something in the marketplace and need to dispute the transaction?
Or did you sell something and want to dispute the transaction?
Now you have a more streamlined way to do it.
From the "Sell" tab of your Dashboard, click the "I've Bought" or "I've Sold" button:
Let's pretend that I wish to dispute the 2nd item there (FanBox Blogs Background Template).
I click the "Actions" link:
... and then click "Dispute this transaction":
Immediately, this will pop up:
Use the text box to briefly explain your dispute... and press Submit.
Your dispute will be immediately forwarded to (up to) four people:
a. The Seller (or Buyer)b. Your Success Coachc. The Success Coach of the Seller (or Buyer)d. The Marketplace Organizer (and FanBox Founding Mother, Jo Potocki)
The two Success Coaches will do their very best to come back with a process and/or decision...
... and if necessary Jo will be the final arbitrator.
Now you can buy or sell things with more peace of mind!
We just ask that you keep in mind that Success Coaches and Jo are all very busy serving FanBoxers...
... so please try and keep your communications succinct and to the point.
IE: They're more than happy to resolve disputes, but please try and keep any unnecessary drama out of your communications...
... otherwise you're keeping them from serving other FanBoxers that need them.
Just beware if someone offers you a free ride on one of these:
Otherwise, you just might receive one of these FREE gifts from your Success Coach or Jo:
That's it for now. Any questions? I'm here for you.
